Written by the Apidog team. Postman's prices below were read from postman.com/pricing on September 8, 2026; Apidog's from apidog.com/pricing the same day. Older articles, including some of ours, still list Basic and Professional tiers that no longer exist.
Postman restructured its plans on March 1, 2026. Two tiers disappeared, the Free plan shrank to one user, and two limits that generated years of complaints, collection runs and mock servers, were removed on every plan. Here is the current lineup, what each step up buys, and what a team actually pays.
The 2026 plans
| Free | Solo | Team | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price (annual billing) | $0 | $9/month | $19/user/month | $49/user/month |
| Users | 1, cannot create a team | 1 | Unlimited, per seat | Unlimited, per seat |
| Collection runs (Collection Runner) | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Mock servers | Unlimited cloud and local | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| API monitoring | 1,000 requests/month | 10,000 | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| AI credits | 50/month | 400/month | 400/user/month | 800/user/month, pooled |
| Team workspaces | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| SSO, SCIM, audit, governance | No | No | No | Yes |
What changed in March 2026
- Basic ($14) and Professional ($29) are gone. Neither appears on the pricing page any more; the choices are Solo, Team, or Enterprise.
- Free is one user. The old free workspace that a small team could share is over. Free users keep the client, docs, and, new in this change, unlimited runs and mocks.
- Solo is new at $9. It is a Free plan with more monitoring and AI credits, still for one person. It is not a cheap team plan.
- Collection runs and mock servers are unlimited everywhere. The 25-runs-a-month cap that pushed many teams to look elsewhere no longer exists. Monitoring calls and AI credits are the meters now.
The net effect: a single developer got a better free product, and every team of two or more got a $19-per-seat bill.
What each upgrade buys
Free to Solo ($9). Ten times the monitoring requests and eight times the AI credits, nothing else. Worth it only if you run monitors or lean on Postbot.
Solo to Team ($19 per user). The team workspace, which is the real product for anyone who is not solo: shared collections, roles, and collaboration. This is the step most people are actually deciding on.
Team to Enterprise ($49 per user). SSO, SCIM, audit logs, API governance rules, the private API network, and pooled AI credits. Priced for procurement, and per user, so a fifty-person org pays $29,400 a year before add-ons. The full breakdown is in the cost of Postman Enterprise.
What a team pays, with the alternative next to it
| Team size | Postman Team (annual) | Apidog Basic (annual) | Apidog Free |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | $456 | $0 on the free plan | Yes |
| 4 | $912 | $0 on the free plan | Yes |
| 5 | $1,140 | $540 | No (5 users) |
| 10 | $2,280 | $1,080 | No |
| 25 | $5,700 | $2,700 | No |
| 50 on Enterprise | $29,400 (Postman Enterprise) | $16,200 (Apidog Enterprise, $27) |
Apidog's free plan is up to four users with unlimited runs, mocks, real-time collaboration, branches, and published docs. Paid plans bill every member: Basic is $9 per user per month, Professional $18, Enterprise $27, all annual with a 14-day trial, and there is no startup discount. The feature comparison behind the price comparison is in Apidog vs Postman.
Is Postman worth paying for?
Stay on Free if you are one person. Unlimited runs and mocks on Free is a good deal, and the tips in how to use Postman for free cover sharing collections through export or Git without a Team seat.
Pay for Team if your organization has standardized on Postman, you publish on the API Network, or you rely on Postman Monitors and integrations that your team has already wired up. Switching costs are real.
Pay for Enterprise if you need governance rules enforced across many teams, the private API network, or SSO and audit logs, and the per-seat price clears procurement.
Look elsewhere if you are two to ten people paying $19 a seat for a shared workspace. That is the case Apidog's free and $9 tiers were built for, and the wider field is compared in Postman alternatives in 2026, with the team-specific comparison in the best Postman alternative for teams.
FAQ
Is Postman free? Yes, for one user, with unlimited collection runs and mock servers, 1,000 monitoring requests a month, and 50 AI credits. Free users cannot create or join a team workspace.
How much does Postman cost per user? Team is $19 per user per month and Enterprise $49 per user per month, both on annual billing. Solo is $9 a month for a single user.
Does Postman still limit collection runs? No. Since March 2026 collection runs are unlimited on every plan, including Free.
What happened to Postman Basic and Professional? They were retired in March 2026. Basic was $14 and Professional $29 per user per month; Team and Enterprise replaced them.
Is there a free Postman plan for teams? Not from Postman. Apidog's free plan covers four users; the other free tiers are compared in free Postman alternatives.
What is the cheapest way for a small team to keep using Postman? Team at $19 per user is the only plan with a shared workspace. For two to four people, moving to a tool with a team-sized free plan is cheaper than any Postman option.
