From enhanced project management tools to more control over documentation and testing, let’s dive into the December updates that will elevate your experience!
📄 Add Comments to Endpoints:
You can now add comments to endpoints, allowing you to document important information or context directly within your API specifications.
📋 Allowlists for Published Doc Sites:
You can now set allowlists for published doc sites based on IP and email, adding an extra layer of security and control over who can access your documentation. Learn more.
👥 Customize Project Roles:
You can now customize project roles on the team/organization members page. Define project feature permissions for a role and assign this customized role to specific users, giving you more flexibility in managing team responsibilities. (Pro tip: This feature is available in Apidog Enterprise plan.)
🛡️ Protected Main Branch:
You can set the main branch as "Protected", ensuring that modifications are only allowed after submitting a Merge Request (MR) from the sprint branch, followed by a review. Learn more.
🔔Pull Notifications for Updated Main Branch Resources:
A notification will now prompt you to pull updates when the main branch resource associated with the sprint branch is updated, ensuring that you stay synchronized with the latest changes. 🔄 Sprint Branches Data Import/Export: Sprint branches now support data import and export, streamlining data management, and ensuring consistency across branches. 💻 Test Scenario Change History:
You can now view the "Change History" made to test scenarios and revert them to specific historical versions, providing more flexibility and traceability when working on your test cases. (Pro tip: This feature is available in Apidog Enterprise plan.)
📈 Google Analytics Integration for Doc Sites:
Doc sites now support integration with Google Analytics, enabling you to track visitor interactions and gather valuable analytics about the usage of your documentation.
🖱️ Manage Project Members:
Project admins can now view and manage current project members directly from the Project Settings. Admins also have the ability to add team members to the project with ease.
💾 CLI Enhancement for Local Variables:
CLI now supports specifying current values for environment variables and global variables stored in local files.
📂 Proper Formatting for Exported OpenAPI/Swagger Files:
Exported OpenAPI/Swagger files will now be properly formatted, avoiding long, unstructured single-line exports.
🔑 SSH Tunnel Support for Private Keys with Passphrases:
When using SSH Tunnels for database connections with the Public Key authentication method, private keys with passphrases are now supported, enhancing security and flexibility.
📝 Custom Display Names for Markdown Docs:
You can now configure custom display names for Markdown documents in the folder tree, improving the organization and accessibility of your project files.
🌿 No Archived Branch Resources in Trash:
The Trash feature now excludes resources from archived branches, streamlining your workspace.
