Every asset in Altan—such as flows, Altaners, and agents—comes with versioning capabilities, allowing you to manage updates and distribute them seamlessly.
🚀 How Versioning Works#
1.
Access Versions: Click on the "Versions" or "Checkpoint" button within any asset to view the version history.

2.
Select the modification type:Major: Introduces significant changes or incompatible updates.
Minor: Adds new functionality while remaining backward-compatible.
Patch: Fixes bugs or makes backward-compatible changes.
Prerelease: Marks as unstable or experimental.
Add a comment to describe the changes, similar to a commit message.

3.
Organized History: Versions are displayed in order, making it easy to track the evolution of your asset.
⭐ Starring Versions#
You can star a version to mark it as the primary version. When a template is published on the marketplace, the starred version is the one users receive by default when they clone it.
📝 Template vs. Template Versions#
Template: Represents the base asset visible to users in the marketplace or private workspace.
Template Versions: Tracks all changes, ensuring transparency and flexibility in reverting or updating to specific iterations.
Altan’s versioning system ensures a smooth update process while maintaining control over which versions are shared and distributed. Modified at 2024-11-19 16:22:29
