Tools

Altan allows you to extend the functionality of your AI Agents by giving them access to external apps and API calls. This is done through Tools, which are similar to adding a module. Follow these simple steps to add and configure tools for your AI Agent:

🚀 How to Add a Tool#

1.
Click on "Add Tool": Open the tool menu to view the list of all available apps and integrations.

Select an Action: Choose an action from the selected app, such as retrieving a record, sending a message, or performing an API call.image.png

Configure Parameters:
Review the parameters required for the selected action.
Decide which parameters the AI Agent can dynamically use.
Hardcode or ignore parameters that don’t need to be modified.

Add Instructions:
Give the tool a name and description to clearly define what it does and when it should be used.
5.
Save the Tool: Click "Save" to enable the tool for your AI Agent.
